5-year performance data and robust flexibility of a computerized physician ordering system for collection, processing, and administration of cellular therapy products

      Introduction: In 2010, DFCI and Partners Healthcare Information Systems developed an electronic Biotherapy Order Entry (BOE) system. Three interrelated applications were designed: 1) dictionary/template builder, 2) physician order entry, and 3) product inventory. Computerized orders encompass collection, processing, and release for administration. BOE templates created for SOC treatment plans or clinical trials are consistent with approved protocols to eliminate deviations.
